The Merseys were formed in Feburary of 2004, by Joe Gibson and Vaughn Swenson. With only Vaughn on keyboard, bass, and vocals and Joe on guitar and back up vocals, they needed a drummer. The drummer they found was Mike Whone. Together they turned lyrics into music. The month of April put the Merseys to the test when they played live at the Sullivan Heights talent show. This show really boosted the bands confidence and led to more imaginative songwriting. Soon after, they looked hard for another guitarist to have a fuller sound. Their prayers were answered by Francis Lamiel, a great guitarist and the final piece to the Mersey puzzle. From there they began making more and more music. Now with 30+ original songs, they are ready to rock!
